On Tuesday at about 1:45 pm, the Waterloo Police Department responded to the report of a tractor trailer that had rolled over on Fayette Street in the Village of Waterloo. Joseph E. Crocker, age 27 of Fair Haven New York, was operating a tractor trailer combination for Maybury Farms on West River Street, and when making a left turn onto Fayette Street (State Route 96) the vehicle overturned.The trailer of the vehicle was full of corn, which was dumped into a yard along Fayette Street. The roadway was closed for about 4 hours as the vehicle was turned upright and the corn was removed. Crocker was issued traffic tickets for unreasonable speed and unsafe turn and is to appear in the Village of Waterloo Court at a later date.The Waterloo Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Waterloo Fire Department, New York State Police, and Seneca County Sheriff’s Department. North Seneca Ambulance also responded to the scene to check over Crocker who was not injured in the accident.
