On Sunday, shortly before 7:00 am, Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a house fire at 5784 State Route 96a in the Town of Romulus. Upon the arrival of Sheriff’s Deputies report that the structure was fully engulfed.Firefighters from Ovid, Varick, and Romulus brought the fire under control in about 1 hour.The home which was vacant at the time is owned by Steven J. Klemann age 30 of the same address. There were no injuries and the house was a total loss. There was no insurance on the building. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
