On Monday morning just after 11:00 am, Penn Yan police arrested James V. End, age 54 of East Lake Road in Penn Yan, and charged him with driving while intoxicated and moving from lane unsafely.Police received a report that a vehicle turning left from Lake Street onto Liberty Street drove onto the sidewalk while doing so.The vehicle in question was located on Water Street and Mr. End was found in the vehicle in an intoxicated condition.Mr. End refused a breath test and was arraigned in Penn Yan Village Court. He was remanded to the Yates County Jail after bail was set at $500 cash or $1,000 secured bond.
