On Wednesday morning at 11:00 am, the Waterloo Village Police Department arrested an 18 year old Waterloo resident on a warrant for Criminal Mischief 4th degree, Criminal Obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and for Harassment 2nd degree.The defendant allegedly got into a physical altercation with a female on Stark Street on October 6th and is accused of pushing and punching the victim. The defendant allegedly then got on top of the female and began to choke her while she was pinned to the ground.The Criminal Mischief charge stems from the defendant allegedly throwing the victims cell phone on the roadway causing it to break.The defendant was arraigned in Waterloo Village Court and was sent to the Seneca County Jail on $2,000 bail $4,000 bond and is due back in Village Court on November 6, 2013. An order of protection was issued for the victim.
