Stroll through Sonnenberg’s haunted past on 10/27

Spooky tales and spirits will come alive this October at Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park’s “Haunted Garden Stroll.” For the first time Sonnenberg will host a night-time “haunted” half-mile stroll through its gardens. Stroll participants will hear strange tales of Sonnenberg from the last 126 years.Besides the macabre stories, that will surely leave visitors in goose bumps, spirits and strange sights will greet guests throughout the garden paths. Along the walk participants may meet an apparition of a Civil War general who died in the mansion or perhaps they will see the Lady in Black who continues to walk the grounds. Other visitations and haunting sights will lurk along the darkened paths. Even though this is a “haunted” event, it is intended to be family-friendly.The Haunted Garden Stroll will be held on October 27 6 pm – 10 pm. Admission for the Haunted Garden Stroll is $5/person and is free to children under 5. The entrance for this event will be at Sonnenberg’s Fort Hill Avenue gate, which is just inside of the Canandaigua VA grounds. Parking will be in the adjacent VA’s Kennedy lot.
