The Clyde-Savannah Golden Eagles varsity football team traveled about 15 miles down Route 31 in southeastern Wayne County to match-up with the Lyons Lions on Saturday afternoon. The game didn’t end up being much of a contest as Clyde improved to 4-0 on the season with a 42-12 victory.For the undefeated Golden Eagles it was quarterback Joe Faniel leading the charge with four touchdowns on the day, two passing, two rushing. He ran for 101 yards on 5 carriers and was 5 for 7 passing for 197 yards through the air.For Lyons, Deon Taver carried the load with 24 carries for 138 yards.Next week, Clyde-Savannah returns home to DerCola Field to host Dundee on Friday night at 7:00 pm.Lyons, who dropped to 0-4 on the season, will look for their first win in Ovid as they revel to face South Seneca on Friday evening at 7:00 pm.Clyde-Savannah 42 Lyons 12 CS – (4-0) Joe Faniel 5/7, 197 yds, 2 TDs; 5 car, 101 yds, 2 TDs; LYO – (0-4) Deon Taver 24 car, 138 yds;
