The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Monday evening at 9:53 pm, deputies arrested 30-year-old Martin D. Oltz of West Seneca Road in Trumansburg for criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, a class A misdemeanor and harassment 2nd degree.The arrest stems from a fight that Oltz was involved in where it is alleged he punched another male several times and used his hands to choke the male while he was on the ground.Oltz was arraigned in the Town of Covert Court where he was committed to the custody of the Sheriff in lieu of $1,000 cash bail and $2,000 secured bond. A Class A order of protection was issued to the victim. Oltz is to re-appear in the Town of Covert Court on the 7th of October at 10:00am.The New York State Police and the Trumansburg police assisted in the arrest.
