Seneca County Sheriff Jack S. Stenberg announces that Sheriff’s Deputies will be conducting a child passenger safety seat inspection on October 3rd 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at the Ovid Firehouse on Brown Street, Ovid, New York. Sheriff’s Deputies will inspect the safety seats for proper fit, recalls, correct installation, and expiration dates. If the safety seat does not pass the inspection a brand new seat will be provided free of charge. This program is funded by the New York State Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee. Appointments or questions about the program can be made by contacting Inv. Joseph Stevens at 315-220-3442. Walk-in’s will be accepted as well.
