Cooler days are bringing in fall weather. A good time to come down to the market, Wednesday from 9AM to 1:30PM and buy juicy, sweet, just picked local produce! Fall produce is showing up…apples, seedless table grapes, winter squash, pumpkins, cabbage and garlic. And there’s still plenty of late summer produce available too…sweet corn, tomatoes, onions, raspberries, garlic, watermelon, cukes, swiss chard, beets, carrots, broccoli, lettuce, potatoes, peppers, beans, eggplant, summer squash and many surprises picked this morning. In addition there’s meat, bread, donuts, sweet rolls, cookies, pies, cakes, sweet breads, honey, maple syrup, cut flowers, farm fresh eggs, jams and jellies and so much more! Support the local economy . Enjoy the canal side ambiance and the beautiful view. Have lunch from Dave & Rita’s Farm Market and Bakery at the picnic tables canalside. Coffee and breakfast pastries, muffins or donuts are available for breakfast in the park as well. Besides the abundance of fresh, just picked veggies and fruits don’t forget about the hand made jewelry, vintage lavender filled linens, plants in pretty pots, and many other baked goods. Come and use your EBT card and buy anything the vendors are selling that is food stamp eligible. Stretch your food dollars with local foods!
