On Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm, Penn Yan Village Police arrested a 33-year-old woman and charged her with Grand Larceny and six counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property.Sarah A. Manchester, of Loree Road in Penn Yan, was charged following an investigation into a report of a stolen debit card from a purse at the Penn Yan Elementary School which occurred on Monday.The victim reported that her wallet containing the card and cash had been stolen and further reported that her bank showed six transactions using the stolen card that had been made the same day in and around the Village of Penn Yan.Follow-up with the businesses where the card had been used lead police to identify Manchester as the culprit.Manchester’s spending spree totaled $704.05.She was arraigned in Village Court where she was committed to the Yates County Jail on bail.On Tuesday, Manchester was arrested in another incident in which she left her 1-year-old in a hot car while she was inside a liquor store in Penn Yan.
