Construction on the new location for Dunkin’ Donuts on Routes 5 & 20 in Seneca Falls began in early spring. The structure has been sitting, apparently complete, for several weeks now. This morning, visitors to the current Dunkin’ Donuts location on Routes 5 & 20, about 1/4 mile east of the new spot, received notice that the restaurant would close at noon. The last customer was served shortly before 12:00 pm on Wednesday as employees began the transition to their new home. The new location is expected be ready to open on Friday. It is unclear if that means morning commuters will be able patronize the store on their way to work on Friday. On Thursday morning, they’ll have to make other plans for their morning cup of Joe.
