The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with the June 23rd murder of William “Bill” Kenny. At 2:48 am on June 23, 2013, Sheriff’s deputies responded to a shots fired called in by neighbors at 827 Hecker Road in Waterloo. Deputies found William Kenny, age 61, the sole occupant of the residence located in a bedroom suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Geneva General Hospital in Geneva, New York where he was later pronounced dead.- Click here for the original coverage of shootingOn Monday evening at 7:16 pm, Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested Ralph J. Garafalo Jr., age 57, of 429 West Main Street in Waterloo for Murder in the 2nd degree.Garafalo was arraigned in the Town of Lodi Court and was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on no bail.From what can be understood from the police report, it is unclear if Garafalo acted alone in carrying out the murder. Sheriff Stenberg reports that the Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate this crime and also expressed his condolences to the family and friends of William Kenny.
