On Thursday afternoon shortly before 1:00 pm, Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a personal injury auto accident on State Route 96a in the Town of Covert.A vehicle driven by Linda M. Kenney, age 53, of West Seneca Street, Lodi was westbound on State Route 96a when she was struck by a east bound vehicle being operated by Raymond K. Wise, age 67, of Yellow Tavern Road, Waterloo.Kenney was assisted out of her vehicle by Sheriff’s Deputies and firefighters from the Interlaken Fire Department. Kenney was later transported to Cayuga Medical Center by Hector, Logan, Valois Ambulance for a minor injury. Wise was uninjured. State Police also responded to the scene to assist. Wise was issued a traffic ticket for fail to keep right and will appear in Covert Town Court at a later date.
