Emiles named Seneca Chamber biz of month

The Seneca County Chamber of Commerce has announced that Emile’s Restaurant of Waterloo, has been selected as the Chamber’s June 2013 Business of the Month. Jeff Shipley and Cassandra Harrington, the Chamber’s Executive Director and Member Services Coordinator, presented the award to Bob Jaynes, owner and manager, on behalf of the restaurant’s family and staff. The presentation took place during the program and special announcements portion of the Chamber’s Annual Stephen B. Johnson Memorial Golf Tournament at Silver Creek Golf Course on June 28.RussAbout June Business of the Month: Located at 369 Waterloo-Geneva Road in Waterloo, Emile’s is a second generation, family owned Italian-American Restaurant that has been serving the Finger Lakes region for more than 34 years. Focused on its mission of great cooking and customer service in a casual and friendly atmosphere, Emile’s Restaurant has a team of nearly 30 staff, and is now managed by the children of the original owners, Emile and Peppy Jaynes. The Jaynes family also owns and operates Peppy’s Ice Cream, located next to Emile’s, and Peppy’s Too, a third business which features burgers and ice cream, and is located on East Main Street in Waterloo. Both businesses were named after the Jayne children’s mother, Peppy.
