Recently, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department conducted a joint investigation with the New York State Police at Waterloo of a reported home invasion/sexual assault which occurred during August 2011 (in the former Village of Seneca Falls). 
Following a Seneca County Grand Jury indictment, 25 year old Seneca Falls resident, Adam J. Briggs, was arrested on charges that included Burglary in the first degree (a class B felony), Sexual Abuse first degree (a class D felony), Assault in the second degree (a class D felony), and two counts of Strangulation in the second degree (a class D felony).
