Two new members have been recently elected to seats on the board of trustees of The Finger Lakes Museum. Wendy Mervis, the executive director of Camp Good Days and Special Times, Inc., and Linda Vang, a Keuka Lake area real estate broker, were both elected to three-year terms. Wendy Mervis holds a masters degree in education administration as well as a certificate of advanced study in education administration from SUNY Brockport. She and her husband Gary operate Camp Good Days and Special Times in Branchport, which provides camping, recreation, and support programs for children and families affected by cancer, violence, HIV, AIDS, and other life challenges. Linda Vang, together with her husband John, operates Vang Real Estate in Penn Yan, which serves, Keuka, Lamoka, and Waneta Lakes, as well as the communities of Bath, Corning, Hammondsport, and Penn Yan. She is originally from San Diego, California. Finger Lakes Museum board president John Adamski said, “I am delighted to welcome these ladies aboard and I look forward to working together with them to bring The Finger Lakes Museum to fruition. They are energetic and spirited and are bringing enthusiasm and inspiration to The Finger Lakes Museum project.” The addition of Mervis and Vang to the board brings the current membership to fifteen.
