With the Pilots leading 4-2 in the top of the ninth inning, Donald Frew (Young Harris) struck out the side as he retired all three Albany batters halting any chance of a comeback for the Dutchmen. The first score of the game came in the third when Joe Purritano (Dartmouth) doubled to center field bringing in two Albany runners. The Pilots quickly responded with three straight hits in the bottom of the third. Austin Barnes (Hartford) set up Donald Frew to close the game. Sean Spicer (Baylor) started for the Dutchmen and had a game high seven strikeouts. Sam Fox (Pomona-Pitzer) followed with a single of his own leading to a double steal by the pair. Max Rosing’s center field single brought in the winning and insurance run making the score 4-2.
