Severe thunderstorms have developed and have been rolling through the region this afternoon. The first big storm developed over Canandaigua and moved east through the City of Geneva and northern Seneca County. This burst created localized rainfall of over an inch in about a 15 minute period. The storm continued east into central Cayuga County and the City of Auburn.The second line of thunderstorms we much wider in range as they moved through Watkins Glen and Penn Yan and stretched north to Geneva and Seneca Falls.Central Seneca County and Penn Yan are hardest hit with tremendously powerful lighting strikes and torrential downpours.For the latest radar images and local forecast, visit our Local Weather Center.
