Two arrested in Penn Yan burglaries

On Tuesday, Penn Yan Village Police arrested two individuals after an investigation into break-ins that occurred at Finger Lakes Community Health, Head Start, and the Keuka Housing Council.All three organizations are located at 160 Main Street in Penn Yan.The break-ins occurred during the weekends of June 8th and 15th with all three premises being entered on the first weekend and only Head Start and FLCH being entered again on the second weekend.Charged are:Lance M. Todd, age 18, of Benham Street in Penn Yan and Philip B. Hanna, age 27, of Main Street in Penn Yan.The pair were found to be in possession of property belonging to FLCH and Head Start.Todd and Hanna were arraigned in Penn Yan Village Court and committed to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail to reappear. The investigation is continuing with further charges pending.In an unrelated matter, Lance Todd was additionally charged with petit larceny after an incident that occurred in Tops grocery store in Penn Yan on June 14th where he is alleged to have stolen candy and soda.
