If you can roll dice, you can play Bunco! This fast paced dice game, which originated in the late 1800s as a ladies’ parlor game, has seen a resurgence in recent years, as evidenced by women around the country sporting “Bunco Babe” t-shirts, and driving for miles to get in on a tournament. In Seneca Falls, the craze is catching on, and the next tournament is scheduled for Wednesday, June 19th from 7:00 – 8:30 pm at the Seneca Falls Community Center at 35 Water Street. The game is being hosted by the Seneca Museum of Waterways & Industry, and all proceeds will benefit the museum. A $25 entry fee gets you 1.5 hours of Bunco fun, all the goodies you can eat, and a chance to win lots of great prizes throughout the evening.“I played Bunco for the first time at the May tournament, which benefited the National Women’s Hall of Fame, and it was a lot of fun,” said this month’s organizer, Marcy Neumire. “It’s a game you can pick up very quickly, and you have chances to win all night long! What a great way to fundraise!”To register for the June 19th Bunco tournament, call 568-1510. Walk-ins are welcome.
