Chalk Art Festival in Seneca Falls

The third annual Sidewalk Chalk Art contest benefitting The House of Concern food pantry and the Community Garden will take place during the Seneca Falls Business Association’s Small Business Saturday Sidewalk Festival scheduled for Saturday June 15th. Once again, participants of all ages are encouraged to try their hand at creating works of art using chalk and soft pastels. Participants will be divided into 4 categories: Adult, High School, Middle School and Elementary. Artists are encouraged to envision and draw this year’s theme “Summer Fun in the Finger Lakes”. The Sidewalk Chalk Art creations can be done individually or as a team effort. Contestants will have two hours to complete their art, from 11am – 1:00 with judging by the public from 1pm -1:30pm for the People’s Choice prize, and by a panel of judges between 1:30pm – 2:00pm. The public is invited to vote for their favorites by purchasing vote tokens and may vote as many times as they wish. The proceeds of the contest will help local families in need, receive fresh locally grown produce from the Seneca Falls Community Garden.
