Seneca Falls student at National Spelling Bee

Abirami RatnakumarAbirami Ratnakumar, a seventh grader at Seneca Falls Middle School, is competing this week at the second round of the National Spelling Bee in National Harbor, Maryland. The event kicked off Tuesday with the computerized spelling test, which for the first time also included a vocabulary test. Wednesday, all 281 students will have to spell words in front of judges. The combined scores from Tuesday and Wednesday will determine who moves on to the semifinals Thursday afternoon. Good luck Abirami!
