After falling behind 14-7 at the end of three quarters of play in the national semifinal contest in Philadelphia against Duke on Saturday afternoon, the Cornell Big Red came charging back in the final period. But, it wasn’t enough as the Duke Blue Devils defeated the Big Red by a final score of 16-14 to advance to the national championship game on Memorial Day.Cornell senior All-American Rob Panel scored 5 goals on 11 shots on goal and added 2 assists in his final game for the Big Red.Cornell goalie A.J. Fiori recorded 10 saves in the losing effort.For Duke, Jordan Wolf scored four goals and Kyle Turri saved 16 shots.Duke will face the winner of the Syracuse/Denver match-up in the national title game on Monday at 1:00 pm.
