Penn Yan police arrested Deziree L. White, age 19 of Crooked Lake Lane in Penn Yan, on Friday morning at 9:30 am on heroin possession and sales charges.White was charged with 2 counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree, 2 counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degress, and 2 counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in or near a school ground. All are class B felonies.White is accused of possessing and selling heroin within 1,000 feet of a school.White was arraigned in Yates County Court and remanded to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond.
