On Tuesday at 3:45 pm, Seneca County Sheriff Deputies responded to the intersection of State Route 96A and West River Rd for a two car personal injury motor vehicle accident.A vehicle operated by Paul D. Sabin age 34 of East Lake Rd Romulus, was northbound on State Route 96A when a second vehicle operated by Jeffery D. Rook age 42 of W. Bayard St. in Seneca Falls, traveled eastbound through the intersection into the path of the Sabin’s vehicle causing a collision.Sabins vehicle left the roadway and overturned twice before coming to rest. Sabin was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by North Seneca Ambulance for back and neck injuries. A passenger in Sabin’s vehicle, Amanda C. Roberts, age 24, of Hall, NY was treated at the scene for minor lacerations to her face.Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and needed to be towed from the scene. Rook was uninjured and was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way.Assisting at the scene was the Border City Fire Department.
