The Finger Lakes Sweet Treat Trail Tasting Tour kick-off will be held on May 3rd from 5 – 8 pm at the Cayuga County Office of Tourism, 131 Genesee Street, Auburn during First Friday, a community open house coordinated by the Auburn Downtown BID. Visitors will enjoy samples and tastings of locally produced baked goods, jams & jellies, honey and maple syrup from 28 sweet spots and pick up a Tasting Tour Pass with a location map to all the participating sites! Spend the summer touring Cayuga County, stopping by local bakeries, apple orchards, apiaries, farmers’ markets and maple sugar shacks and get your tasting tour pass punched at any participating partner. Visit a minimum of ten Sweet Treat Trail stops and you will be eligible to win a sweet treat prize. The grand finale of the tasting tour will be held at TomatoFest on September 7 & 8 from 11 am – 6 pm each day at Emerson Park in Auburn. Hand in your completed Tasting Tour Pass at the Sweet Treat Trail booth and you may win one of three sweet treat baskets full of pastries, fruit wines, gift certificates and more.Whether it’s honey or jam or homemade cookies made with locally grown and produced products, the Finger Lakes Sweet Treat Trail has something to satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth!
