Cayuga County Sheriff David Gould reports that the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary to a residence believed to have occurred at approximately 1:00 am Wednesday morning.The residence, located on Turnpike Rd. in the Town of Throop was forcibly entered.A safe containing tens of thousands of dollars in cash, collectible coins, and a Mossberg Shotgun were stolen from within. Anyone with information about this burglary is asked to contact Detective Brian Schenck at (315)253-3545.
