Sheriff David Gould reports that the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Fatal Motor Vehicle accident involving a Harley Davidson 2012 Trike motorcycle.At about 2:54 pm on Tuesday, a 2012 Harley Davidson Trike Motorcycle was south bound on Shepherd Road in the Town of Brutus. Witnesses indicate it was going unusually slow then suddenly accelerated and veered off the west side of the roadway striking a tree and overturning.Operator was Kenneth E Banner (age 62) of E Brutus Street Rd, Weedsport. Mr. Banner went into full arrest and died while en route to Upstate Medical via Mercy Flight.Passenger was Roberta K Banner (age 61) of E Brutus Street Rd, Weedsport. Mrs. Banner was transported to Upstate Medical by Rural Metro Ambulance.An investigation is pending.Also assisting were the Cayuga County 911 Center, Cayuga County Emergency Management Office, Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office, Weedsport Fire Department, Weedsport Ambulance, Sennett Fire Department, Rural Metro and TLC Ambulance.
