Penn Yan police charged Philip R. White of Penn Yan with criminal possession of stolen property in the 5th degree on Wednesday, a class A misdemeanor.White was found to be in possession of jewelry that had been reported stolen in December 2012 from a Linden Street residence in the Village of Penn Yan.White was arraigned in Penn Yan Village Court in lieu of $250 bail to reappear at a later date.
