Yates County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation into a one car motor vehicle accident that occurred April 8th at 9:04PM on County House Road at the intersection of County House Woods Road in the Town of Jerusalem where a lone man driving a suburban vehicle went off the roadway for some unknown reason and struck a tree head-on near an electric pole. The driver was unresponsive at the scene and taken by PY ambulance with EMT’s administering CPR to the Soldiers and Sailors Hospital in Penn Yan, NY where he was pronounced deceased at 9:45PM.Name:DOUGLAS A. AGE 68 of 3660 WILLETT ROAD, PENN YAN, NYOwner of Big Doug’s Meaner Weiner Restaurant – Rte 54-AAccording to Sheriff Ron Spike “we are awaiting autopsy results as we theorize the possibility of a medical event may have occurred prior to the collision.”
