Two arrests result from Seneca Falls traffic stop

On 03/28/13 at approximately 10:31 p.m. the Seneca Falls Police Department charged 2 individuals following a traffic stop that occurred in the Town of Seneca Falls. Police state they stopped a vehicle for speeding and learned that the vehicle operator, Richard M. Yasher, age 23, of 14 Auburn Road, Apt. 16, Seneca Falls, NY had his driving privileges revoked in NYS. Yasher was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 2nd Degree, due to having a prior conviction for aggravated unlicensed operation on file. He was also charged with Failure to Notify DMV of a Change in Home Address, and Speed in Zone. Further investigation by police at the scene revealed the owner of the vehicle, Katherine E. Connors, age 23, of the same address as Yasher, gave Yasher permission to operate the vehicle knowing his privileges were revoked in NYS. She was charged with Facilitating Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 2nd Degree and released on a traffic ticket. She is to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on 04/04/13 at 10:00 a.m. to answer the charge. Yasher was arraigned in Junius Town Court and committed to SCCF on $1000 Cash/$2000 Bond and has to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on 04/10/13 at 10:00 a.m. to answer the charges.
