Waterloo woman flees from cop at traffic stop

On March 16th at about 3:18 PM Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Lorraine E Curry age 32 of State Route 96 in Waterloo for unlawfully fleeing a Police Officer in the Third Degree, Speed over 55, Speeding in Speed Zone, Failure to keep right, and Unsafe start from a stopped position.The charges stem from a traffic stop on RT 96 in the Town of Waterloo when Curry allegedly became aggravated and sped off while the Deputy was still standing beside her car. Curry then refused to yield the emergency lights and sirens; Curry was finally stopped on Edwards Rd in the Town of Waterloo by the NYSP and the SCSO.Curry is to appear in the Town of Waterloo Court on 04-25-13 at 5pm to answer the charges.
