Waterloo advances to Class B State Championship Game

Chelsea Steinruck was on fire on Friday afternoon in the Class B state semifinal game at Hudson Valley Community College. Steinruck knocked down 5 three pointers, 4 in the first half, as the Waterloo Indians defeated Salmon River 65-53 to move on to the state title game. She finished with a game high 25 points in the win.Lindsey Johnson was equally unstoppable scoring 25 points while Lauren Deming scored 15 to lead Coach Mike Bree’s Lady Indians.The Waterloo Girls varsity basketball team will now face three-time defending state champions Irvington for the Class B State title on Saturday at 4:00 pm in Troy, NY.
