Rock ‘n’ Roll hits South Seneca Elementary

On Friday, March 22, at 7:00 p.m. hundreds of area citizens will descend on the South Seneca Elementary Gym for a great evening of music and the history of Rock and Roll. The Elementary Band program, made up of 81 fourth and fifth grade students and their families will present a memorable evening of entertainment. Tables will be covered with black linen tablecloths scattered with “bling” and candles. The ambiance will be complete with hanging icicle lights offering an authentic Coffee House atmosphere. In the small gym, hundreds of plates of baked goods, coffee, tea and soft drinks will be available. Each South Seneca Elementary Band student will perform a short piece of music within a small group for the entertainment of the audience. The Elementary Jazz Band and Fifth Grade Band will perform as well under the direction of Rebecca Root Davis, South Seneca’s Elementary Band teacher. Several music students from South Seneca Middle and High Schools will perform on the program as well as family members of band students.The Annual Coffee House/Talent Show is held each year to raise funds to purchase new and gently used musical instruments for students to use whose families cannot afford to rent or buy one. Tickets to this event can be purchased from any South Seneca Elementary Band student or at the door. Tickets prices are: Adults $4, Students and Seniors $3, and Family $10. Price of admission includes all the home-made desserts, tea, coffee and soft drinks you want and a heartwarming, excellent evening of musical entertainment!
