Two injured in Sennett one-car crash

Sheriff David Gould reports that the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported one car motor vehicle accident on Chestnut Ridge Road in the Town of Sennett between Gates Road and Franklin Street Road early Sunday morning, shortly after 12:30 am.The investigation has revealed that 30 year old Stephanie Menser of Greystone Drive in Dryden, NY was operating a 2000 Chevy Pick‐up Southbound on Chestnut Ridge Road when she failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the West side of the Roadway striking a tree. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.Menser was transported by Onondaga County Air‐One Helicopter to University Hospital in Syracuse for treatment of her injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, 38 year old Robert Stilwell of Chestnut Ridge Road was also injured in the crash and was transported to University Hospital by Rural Metro Ambulance for treatment of his injuries.Both Menser and Stilwell were still hospitalized at the time of this release.The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.Assisting Agencies:New York State PoliceCayuga County E911Sennett Fire DepartmentOwasco Fire DepartmentThroop Fire DepartmentRural Metro AmbulanceOnondaga County Air One
