Three Wayne-Finger Lakes teams claim Sectional titles Saturday

Damon Hunter of LyonsIt was a banner afternoon for Wayne-Finger Lakes basketball at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester on Saturday as three W-FL boys varsity basketball teams won sectional titles in Class C in back-to-back-to-back games in the Big House. Clyde-Savannah rolls to Class C3 Championship Clyde-Savannah 72, Kendall 28 (Class C3) Game – Recap – Photos – Video Clyde-Savannah used a stifling interior defense that held their opponent to 18% shooting and an impressive transition game to roll over Kendall, 72-28, to claim the Class C3 championship. It was never a contest with the Golden Eagles opening up a 34-14 halftime lead and extending that lead to 50-22 at the end of the third. Instead, sophomore point guard Damon Hunter lit up the Big House for 18 first half points as Lyons jumped out to a big early lead and cruised to a 64-42 victory and the first ever Sectional title for third-year head coach Zac Young. more
