The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that Deputies arrested Sean P. Battle, age 23, of Auburn following the investigation into a two car personal injury crash. Deputies state that Battle and another vehicle were south bound on State Route 96 in the Town of Fayette when the vehicle Battle was driving rear ended the vehicle in front of him, which was slowing to make a right hand turn.After hitting the other vehicle Battle fled the scene.The driver of the vehicle hit was Christopher M. Reay, 21, of Waterloo. Reay was transported to GGH for a leg injury.Approximately an hour later Deputies responded to the railroad tracks on Packwood Road for the report of a vehicle stuck on the tracks to the west of Packwood Rd. Deputies located the vehicle and Battle on scene. Battle was arrested for DWI and Aggravated DWI for Driving with more than .18% BAC. Battle was also issued traffic citations for leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, reckless driving, failure to yield the right of way and following too closely. Battle was arraigned in the Town of Fayette Court and was RoR’d. Battle is due back in the Town of Waterloo Court on 3/21/13 to answer the DWI charges. He is also due back in the Town of Fayette Court on 4/3/13 to answer the charges related to the initial crash.
