The Wayne Eagles couldn’t get it going on offense at Webster-Schroeder on Wednesday night as they saw their season come to a close at the hands of top seeded Charlotte, 54-39.Wayne held a 1-point halftime lead but were outscored by Charlotte 17-6 in the third quarter.Klevonn Banks led the way for Charlotte with 23 points and 12 rebounds as they move on to face Aquinas on Saturday night at the Blue Cross Arena for the Class A title.Senior point guard Tre LaMora scored 14 points for the Eagles in his final high school game while junior Mike Hollenbeck added 10. Wayne finishes with a 17-4 mark on the year.
