Felony DWI charge for Seneca Falls man in W’loo

The Waterloo Police Department reports that on 2-23-13 at approximately 8:57 am, officers arrested David B. Velazquez, age 50, of Peterman Road in Seneca Falls for Felony Driving While Intoxicated and failure to keep right.Officers report the charges stem from a traffic stop where Velazquez swerved erratically in the roadway of East Main St and crossed the double solid yellow line. Velazquez was found to be operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated by alcohol and also had a prior conviction for Driving with .08% alcohol in blood or higher in 2011, making the current charge a Felony. Velazquez’s blood alcohol content is to be determined at a later time pending a blood test result.Velazquez was arraigned in the Village of Waterloo Court and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash/$10,000 ins bond bail.
