Waterloo driver chases, assaults man in vehicle

On Thursday evening at 8:11 pm the Waterloo Village Police Department arrested Shaun M. Howell, age 34, of Waterloo for Reckless endangerment, harassment second degree, disorderly conduct and reckless driving.Mr. Howell allegedly drove his car recklessly chasing another vehicle while on North Road and on North Virginia Street on February 12, 2013. Mr. Howell allegedly got the car stopped that he was chasing by driving in the opposite lane and pulling in front of the vehicle. Mr. Howell then allegedly physically attacked a passenger in the vehicle while in the roadway on North Virginia Street.Mr. Howell was arraigned in Waterloo Village Court and was sent to the Seneca County Jail on $2,000 cash bail $4,000 bond. An order of protection was issued on behalf of the two people in the car that Mr. Howell was allegedly chasing. Mr. Howell is due back in Waterloo Village Court on March 6, 2013.
