Accident in Varick injured tractor trailer driver

On February 9th 2013 at 10:30 am the Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a tractor trailer vs. car personal injury accident on Route 414 in the Town Of Varick.The driver of the first vehicle a tractor trailer Vincent Tassone Jr age 32 of Port Byron was northbound when the driver of the second vehicle Tyler J. Case age 16 of Seneca Falls who was southbound, lost control of his vehicle on ice and struck Tassone’s tractor trailer. Tassone’s tractor trailer then went into the ditch on the east side of the roadway.Tassone was transported to Geneva General Hospital by South Seneca Ambulance for pain to his left shoulder and to his head. Case was taken to Geneva General Hospital by a parent to be checked over.Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Romulus Fire Dept. assisted at the scene.
