Two hurt Friday in Fayette three-car crash

On Friday at 11:56 a.m. Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a three car personal injury auto accident at the intersection of State Route 96 and Leader Road in the Town of Fayette.Joan E. Gelatt age 51 of Romulus was south bound on Rte 96 in the Town of Fayette when a north bound vehicle being driven by Holly M. Klue age 18 of Waterloo attempted to make a left turn, west bound to Leader Road in front of Gelatt’s vehicle.After the collision with Gelatt’s vehicle, Klue’s vehicle struck a third vehicle that was stopped facing east bound at the intersection on Leader Road. The third vehicle was being operated by Melissa M. Nielsen age 28 of Waterloo.Gelatt was treated at the scene by North Seneca Ambulance for a leg injury then transported to Geneva General Hospital. Klue was treated at the scene by North Seneca Ambulance and sought further medical treatment by private vehicle. Nielson was not injured.Klue was issued a traffic ticket for Fail to Yield Right of Way at a Left Turn and will have to appear in Fayette Town Court on February 20 the 2013 at 7pm. Firefighters from Fayette Fire Department also responded to the scene to assist.
