On Saturday morning at about 2:30 am, the Seneca Falls Police arrested Robert J. Couture Jr., age 42 of Seneca Falls after police received multiple 911 calls stating that a Nissan Altima with New Jersey plates had struck a NYSEG Pole and curb in the area of Fall Street and Rumsey Street.The Seneca County 911 Center then informed responding officers that the vehicle had allegedly pull into a private driveway on Rumsey Street. On scene, officers observed the vehicle in question with heavy damage and multiple flat tires in the driveway of 40 Rumsey Street. At the completion of the investigations officers found Couture Jr. to be the operator of the vehicle. Couture Jr. was then charged with DWI and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident. He was then transported back to the department where he refused to take the Chemical Test.Couture Jr was then arraigned at the Village of Waterloo Court where he was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 cash bail $3,000 ins bond. Couture Jr has to appear back at the Seneca Falls Town Court on 02/13/2013 at 10:00AM.
