Geneva’s Steven Dolgos shot for 11 points while teammate Jordan Donahue shot for 14, Shane Sweeney for 15 and Jack Wallwork for 23. Marcus Whitman’s Merritt Bailey and Rhen Grover each had a 13-point game while matt Matt Hall shot for 10 total points in the loss. Mynderse 59, Palmyra-Macedon 53 Mynderse (8-3) edged Palmyra-Macedon (4-6) 59-53 yesterday in Section V boy’s basketball action. Brandon Passalacqua of Mynderse had a 20-point game. He went 6-for-7 in free throws. His teammate Luke Ruddy shot for 19 points including going 6-for-6 in free throws in the fourth quarter. Palmyra-Macedon’s Mitchell Crist shot for 16 points while Cody Eckerson shot for 19 points. Eckerson’s evening included having five three-point shots. Newark 71, Penn Yan 46 Newark (6-4) beat Penn Yan (4-6) 71-46 yesterday in Section V boy’s basketball action. Newark’s Anthony Lombardi shot for 17 points and had seven rebounds while teammate Jaymee Rosser chipped in 15 points and 11 rebounds, Micah Wright added 10 points, five rebounds and four assists. Penn Yan’s Shane Bloom and James Burdette each had 10-point games in the loss. Wayne 89, Waterloo 33 Yesterday in Section V boy’s basketball action Wayne (10-1) dominated Waterloo (2-8) 89-33. Wayne’s Tre LaMora led all scoring with 19 points while Ben Bobo chipped in 10 points. Waterloo’s Nick Stenberg shot for 11 points in the loss. Bloomfield 49, Dundee 44 Bloomfield (5-4) squeezed by Dundee (6-4) 49-44 yesterday in Section V boy’s basketball action. John Babcock of Bloomfield shot for 12 points while teammate Sean Fitzgerald added 15 points. Dundee’s Justin Brace led all scoring with 17 points in the loss. Red Jacket 78, HAC 70 Red Jacket (5-6) topped HAC (1-11) 78-70 yesterday in Section V boy’s basketball action. Red Jacket’s Kory Fogarty shot for 21 points while Mike Giaconia added 17 points and 10 rebounds; Dominic Vazquz chipped in 13 points and had six assists. HAC‘s Jamir Avery shot for 18 total points while teammate Eric Tolhurst added 18 points and 10 rebounds. Bryan Wang had a 20-point game for HAC.
