LaFayette (5-6) topped Port Byron (6-4) 73-54 yesterday in Section III boy’s basketball action. LaFayette outshot Port Byron in three of the four quarters played.LaFayette’s Jamus Mulholland had an 16-point game with 9 rebounds and 1 assist while teammate Chris Wheeler had an 11-point game with 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Nabil Akl had 11 points and 8 rebounds while Wyatt Esposito chipped in 15 total points with 1 rebounds and 1 assist. Port Byron’s Colton Dennis had an 18-point game, Brett Sanderson shot for 17 points and Tyler Dixon for 11 in the eventual loss. Port Byron will be back in action on Friday, January 11, 2013 when they host Tully in a 5:30pm matchup.
