Longtime Town of Tyre Supervisor Patsy Amidon is resigning effective January 1st after 21 years at the position. Amidon announced her plans at Wednesday’s Town of Tyre Board meeting and at the Seneca County Board of Supervisors meeting on Thursday.According to the Finger Lakes Times, the Town of Tyre Board approved the appointment of Ronald McGreevy, current town zoning and code enforcement officer, as Amidon’s successor. Amidon recommended McGreevy.Amidon told the FL Times that “By doing it now, it gives Ron time to get his feet wet.”
