Yesterday in Section V boy’s basketball action, Newark topped Midlakes 77-50 improving their record to 3-2-0 on the season. With the loss Midlakes is winless in their first four contests on the season.Anthony Lombardi had 19 points and 6 rebounds for Newark while team mate RonDerrick Morris and Jaymee Rosser each had 11 point games respectively. Micah Wright added 17 points and 5 assists in the win. Midlakes’ Mason Jones shot for 24 points including six 3-point shots. Dakota Norrison chipped in 16 points.Newark will be back in action on Friday, December 21 when they host Palmyra-Macedon. The game has a scheduled 7:30pm start time.
