Coach George English and the Red Jacket Indians powered past Bloomfield 53-44 last night in Section V boys basketball action. The win improves Red Jacket’s record to 2-0 on the season. Red Jacket outscored Bloomfield 23-12 in fourth quarter to guarantee the win. The Indians’ Michael Giaconia had a 9 point game with 8 rebounds and 6 blocks while Tyler Liberty scored 13 points and had 5 rebounds. Bloomfield’s (1-2) Sean Fitzgerald shot for 14 points and had 5 rebounds while team mate Alex Flattery chipped in with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Red Jack will be in action again on Monday December 17, 2012 when the travel to Early College for a scheduled 7:730 pm tip-off.
