Coach Karl Norris and the Skaneateles Lakers topped Marcellus yesterday afternoon 59-41 to improve their record to 1-2-0 on the season in Section III boys basketball action. The two teams met at the Tip Off Classic at Carrier Dome and were both looking for their first win of the 2012-2013 season. The game remained tight until the fourth quarter when Skaneateles had a scoring charge. The Lakers scored 22 points in the fourth quarter to Marcellus 4 and took control of the game.Skaneateles will be next in action on December 11, 2012 when they travel to Chittenango (1-1-0). The game is scheduled to have a 7 pm tip-off. Chris Knupp led the Lakers in scoring with 14 points while Austin Gardner had 13. Marcellus’ Mike Dillon had 12 points and Ben Powers chipped in with 11.
