On Monday morning Penn Yan Police arrested Greg Garno of Penn Yan on an incident from Tuesday, November 27th. He is charged with arson, criminal mischief, and five counts of menacing a police officer, all felonies.The charged were filed after Garno barricaded himself in his house and started multiple fires inside.He also threatened officers at the scene with a baseball bat and a knife.Officers were forced to break down the door and carry him out to safety.Garno is also charged with reckless endangerment.He is currently being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in Village Court later today.
